Sculptural architecture shaped by material expression, sensory experience, and built form.

About JJXA

JJXA is the independent architectural practice of Julie Jira, OAA - based in Toronto and working across architecture, interiors, and sculptural commissions.

The practice takes on defined scopes within larger developments, interior renovations, custom spatial components, and site-specific installations. JJXA is especially interested in public and shared spaces - how the places people gather in can contribute to the well-being of a culture, and how materiality and form can awaken the senses rather than recede into the background.

Process matters as much as outcome. JJXA integrates digital modeling, parametric systems, fabrication workflows, and AI-assisted tools into every stage of design and delivery - not as novelty, but as practical ways to move from concept to built work with precision. Alongside built projects, the studio maintains an active research practice exploring digital fabrication, emerging technologies, and advanced visualization.
